Further Exploration: RPGFan's Dream Sequels, Prequels & Reboots
Eleven editors' visions of potential followups, prequels and more for some of their favorite titles.
01.01.11 - 5:59 PM

A few months ago, the RPGFan staff got to talking about RPGs and series we'd like to see further explored. Originally, this was just going to be sequels, but we eventually opened it up to prequels, side stories or whatever seemed most fitting. We didn't want to simply do a basic bullet-pointed list of the obvious like say, a true Chrono Trigger sequel or a Final Fantasy game in the vein of FFIX. Instead, each editor picked one title each, and wrote about exactly how and why that particular title could evolve, if the developers would be so willing.

Most of our editors put a good deal of thought into these - except me; I just wanted to present something a bit off the wall, yet somehow fitting in my mind - so give them a read below, and let us know what you think on our forums, or over on Facebook or Twitter. And share some of your own ideas as well, since I'm sure plenty of you have your own.
