Valkyria Chronicles 3 Gallery Update And More Details
Meet some more Nameless with names.
01.01.11 - 6:00 PM

SEGA released lots of new media and a few more details on its upcoming SRPG Valkyria Chronicles 3 recently, including three new Nameless characters. Well, actually two, since we caught a very brief glimpse of Gusrug, the Nameless' only tank driver, though with nothing else to go on. Gusrug is actually a member of the Darcsen race, and looks after the others much like an older brother would, though he would rather not assume a true leadership role. After the Nameless' original leader was killed, he temporarily assumed the position until Kurt took over.

The other new members are Julio Rosso, an ex-cook; and Gloria Dareru, who loves her tobacco and booze - not to mention she was arrested and accused of smuggling weapons. Talk about a feisty old woman. As we mentioned before, the supply shop is run by Clarissa Contzan, who comes to wherever the Nameless' mobile base to sell your characters their equipment.

You can choose to upgrade existing equipment or buy brand new weapons or equipment for both units and tanks. Like previous games, you can also buy accessories, which are really just like tank stickers. After such purchases and upgrades, you can easily equip these by automatically equipping for all units of a given type or do so individually. You'll also be able to change equipment for units and tanks pre-mission, as usual.

As usual, screenshots and artwork of the new characters and equipment screens and so on can be found in our gallery links below. Valkyria Chronicles 3 for the PlayStation Portable will be out in Japan later this month but has not yet been announced by SEGA for North America. Key word: 'yet.'
