New Ni No Kuni PS3 Footage Surfaces
PS3 hardware + Level-5 + Studio Ghibli = gorgeous.
01.29.11 - 11:56 PM

On yesterday's episode of Top Runner, a Japanese television program, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino appeared to speak about upcoming Playstation 3 title Ni no Kuni: The Another World. A five-minute video featuring new footage of the game was played during the program, which you can see below:

The show also touched upon Hino's impressions of the DS version of Ni no Kuni. Initially, sales of the game were slow, but things have started to pick up and critical reception has been positive. Hino said that while he is pleased with these results, he wants to surpass expectations by adding even more features to the PS3 version. The idea is for players of all ages to feel like they have been transported into a Studio Ghibli movie, and based on the footage shown thus far, the game appears to be shaping up nicely.

The PS3 version of Ni no Kuni is still on track for a 2011 release in Japan. There are currently no plans to release the game in North America. (Sad, we know...)
