Disgaea 4 will receive a batch of downloadable content in Japan in late April, starting with the addition of Asagi, the raven-haired warrior girl. Asagi has become a running gag in Nippon Ichi’s library of games, always appearing as a cameo character who is still waiting to be the heroine of her own game. In
Disgaea 4, her class is even listed as “Protagonist of Another Game?” The price to download her is set at a paltry ¥100 ($1.24 US), but more importantly, Nippon Ichi has pledged to donate all proceeds up until June 30th to earthquake relief efforts in Japan under the name 'Fans of
Disgaea 4.' Other content will become available at the time of Asagi’s release, but no details have been revealed.
Disgaea 4 is scheduled to release in North America on the PS3 later this year, courtesy of NIS America.
