The 3rd Birthday Now Available
Obligatory birthday-related quip here. UPDATE: Now with launch trailer!
03.29.11 - 1:22 PM

Aya Brea, protagonist of the Parasite Eve series (the first of which is now available on the PlayStation Network), makes her long-awaited return in today's release of Square Enix's The 3rd Birthday. Maintaining the series' trend for changing things up, this third entry is now an action/shooter with RPG elements, in which Aya has her choice of a number of firearms with which to smite her enemies, the Twisted. Also, she has the ability to possess the body of both friendly combatants (giving her a great deal of mobility on the battlefield) and foes (allowing her to make them go kaboom) using the Overdive system.

This long-awaited sequel can be yours for $29.99 USD on PSP, with retail copies containing a code for Lightning's Aya costume in Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy. So if you're suffering from a dearth of Aya in your life, get out there and pick it up today-- and if the promise of a shower scene and easily shredded threads has you on the fence, be sure to check out our very own Kimberley Wallace's review of the game to help you make a decision!

Update: Oh look, a launch trailer!
