5pb recently announced an Xbox 360 remake of a game that became a
favourite around these parts a few years ago,
Ever17. Originally released in 2003 in Japan and 2005 here in North America,
Ever17: Out of Infinity follows the story of seven characters trapped inside an amusement park. Not surprisingly, its scenario was written by Kotaro Uchikoshi of
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors fame. (
999, of course, follows nine characters trapped aboard a ship. Do you see the pattern here?)
The remake is said to add 3D models conversation scenes, updated graphics and a new ending. To get a look at the new version, we've added a gallery here. (For comparison's sake, here is the original game's gallery.)
Ever17 is to be released in Japan sometime this summer.
