New Character and Weapon Details for Final Fantasy Type-0
Today we learn the last names of several characters, but alas, no middle names.
04.19.11 - 10:52 PM

It seems like we're on the verge of a wave of Final Fantasy Type-0 information, with Square Enix's PSP title being featured in Japan in this week's V-Jump. In it, we learn that previously-revealed characters Machina and Rem are known fully as Machina Kunagiri and Rem Tokimiya, respectively. While Rem does battle with dual daggers, Machina wields a weapon called a "Bolt (or Volt) Rapier." Which I have to admit, sounds fairly awesome.

Also, Cid! Since we're revealing everyone's last names today, Cid Oldstein - as he's named - is the Milites high commander, who is on a mission to secure the series' iconic four crystals, each held by one of the four nations in Final Fantasy Type-0.

That's what V-Jump filled us in on this week. Dengeki is following up next week with a cover story on the game, so there'll certainly be more details then.

Final Fantasy Type-0 is expected to release this summer in Japan.
