A Closer Look At Tales of Xillia's Partner Support Skills
Just how talented is this cast?
05.12.11 - 9:29 PM

You've heard lots about the link system in Tales of Xillia, where the character you're controlling is the master, and the 'linked' character is the partner (support) character. Each character has a unique support ability. Jude can help you recover if an enemy knocks you down, and Milla can bind an enemy in place. What about the rest of the cast?

Alvin can break through enemies' guards, and has a chance of paralyzing them in the process. Leia can steal from downed foes. The old butler Rowen will cast a 'magic guard' if the master character is hit with a spirit attack. When he does this, you'll still be able to move that character around. Elise's little friend, Tipo will at times drain an enemy of its HP and TP and transfer it to the master character. The catch is that Tipo will only do so if you manage to launch an enemy into the air.

We've added a small number of screens to the gallery below. Tales of Xillia for the PlayStation 3 does not yet have a firm release date - but with the upcoming Tales of Festival later this month in Japan, it's expected that a date might be announced at this event.
