Hellgate Opens Back Up In North America

T3 Entertainment announced alongside Redbana and HanbitSoft today that the Hellgate series is returning to North America in the form of a free-to-play MMORPG. The MMO is said to be an action RPG from the player's choice of either a first-person or third-person perspective. Set in underground London in 2038, players will choose from six classes, arm themselves with a variety of equipment and then go against creatures from - where else? Hell. The three companies have already launched this title as Hellgate: London, as well as other FTP MMORPGs in Japan, Korea and various parts of Asia.

While the full version of Hellgate will launch in North America later this year, a closed beta is planned for June 3rd-5th. For more information on the beta, visit the game's official site.
