E3 2011: Dark Souls Hands-On Preview

06.15.11 - 6:37 PM

2009's Demon's Souls was as successful as it was brutally difficult. Fortunately, it wasn't the kind of brutal that turned players off; instead players just kept coming back for more. When editor Kimberley Wallace and I played its spiritual successor, Dark Souls, at E3, our experience was not unlike this - we died a lot, and we kept going back for more. After a handful of deaths, we were able to sit down for a Q&A with developer From Software. What did we find out about Dark Souls? Read on for Kim's very indepth preview, linked below (and don't forget to check out the gallery too)!
