How Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 Uses PS3 Images
Get ready to upload more of your own photos!
07.02.11 - 11:20 PM

In the original Hyperdimension Neptunia you were able to take your own photos from your PS3's gallery and transform them into summons! While kinda cool, the actual summons themselves were relatively weak and served little purpose apart from keeping the player amused. In Hyperdimension Neptunia mk-2, things will work a little differently. This time around you'll be able to use images to re-skin certain characters and processor parts. Compile Heart have since announced that their websites will have a number of images that can be downloaded specifically for this purpose.

Dengeki PlayStation also brought to light the new event trigger system that apparently uses a Twitter-like interface. By clicking on the related icon you can see specific story scenes play out. It will be possible to obtain rare items and learn powerful skills by using this system.

Hyperdimension Neptunia mk-2 releases in Japan on August 18th.
