A Look At Shiva In Final Fantasy Type-0
And the Phantoma system.
07.25.11 - 1:15 AM

After some recent news about Final Fantasy Type-0 being delayed in Japan, Square Enix have managed to settle down most of their fans by releasing some new images and details, including fan favourite summon, Shiva. As is the custom for the series she looks quite a bit different this time around. Take a look at some of the images below.

The first is a shot from Jump, while the second is from the game's most recent trailer, featuring a number of the summons. Look for Shiva around the 3:45 mark. It appears she's capable of sliding around the battlefield performing ranged and melee ice-based combos.

In other news, a few details on the game's Phantoma system have emerged. "Phantoma" from defeated enemies are used to power up your character's magic. There are various types which are indicated by their colour; different types of magical development require different types of Phantoma.

As a final bonus, someone has put together an image featuring all the characters shown in the trailer. Names included!

Final Fantasy Type-0 is due for an October 13th release in Japan. No news on an international release date yet, but Square Enix have mentioned that they are looking into how to bring the title out West.
