Atelier Meruru Gets Its First DLC
And it's got characters AND costumes.
07.27.11 - 2:13 AM

I never thought I'd write about three Atelier games in one day. Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland 3, which released just over a month ago in Japan, will finally see some pieces of download content. Three characters will be playable for a price: Pamela will fight with an umbrella in battle, Rufus will use a whip, and the shopkeeper in Earls, Juana, uses a boomerang. Each character is downloadable for 500 yen ($6.43 US) apiece.

Also available will be a free update that adds the new area Makina, complete with new monsters to fight and new materials to collect for alchemy. An Atelier Meruru music bundle will be up for grabs for 300 yen ($3.86 US), as well. All of this content will be available in a couple of days on the Japanese PlayStation Network, on July 28th.

The September issue of Gemaga (990 yen/$12.73 US) includes a Totori costume code for Meruru:

Dengeki PlayStation, meanwhile, will have a Rorona costume code. No pics, unfortunately.
