The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Releases in November
Nintendo finally specifies a release date for the next Zelda title.
08.17.11 - 11:47 AM

Nintendo has been sticking to a vague "holiday" release schedule for its upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for awhile now, but has finally confirmed a specific date: November 20th.

It's a date not without precedent: The last console Zelda was The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which was released on November 19th, 2006. While it was probably a given that Nintendo would have the title available the week of Thanksgiving - and the all-important Black Friday shopping weekend - it's nice to have it confirmed.

Now I know what days to take off work. Don't miss our preview & gallery for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as well, in the meantime.

By the way, no, there's no word yet on whether that gold, Triforce emblem-emblazoned Wii Remote teased at E3 is hitting stores the same day or not, but we're hoping it does.
