RPGs as Therapy
How Junpei, Commander Shepherd, and Cecil will save us all.
09.23.11 - 12:02 PM

At RPGFan, we know the value of our favorite genre. We know there's more to them than blowing aliens apart and storylines that spiral out of control in the last few hours of the game. We get something out of them, and you probably do too. They make us better.

And yet in a world in which physical and mental anguish is so often on the collective mind, actually speaking about these things remains taboo. Talking about emotions and feelings, these things that make us human, often only gets us ostracized. But without doing so, we can't fully relate just what RPGs mean to us. So here are our stories.

We're unafraid to let you know how we feel, how RPGs make us better, and how we see them as therapy.
