The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Cast Revealed
You might have heard of a few of these people.
09.27.11 - 7:35 PM

Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is going to be a pretty big title in many ways and its voice cast, announced today, is no small matter either. The list of voice actors, many of them Emmy, Tony and Academy winners and/or nominees, and their appropriate Skyrim characters are as follows:

  • Amgeir, voiced by Christopher Plummer (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), is an elder Greybeard. Greybeards are described as philosophical monks who are also masters of the 'Way of the Voice.' They're known to live alone atop the tallest mountain in Skyrim.
  • Esbern, voiced by Max Von Sydow (The Exorcist, Minority Report), a chronicler and Blades agent who remains in hiding, and obsessed with the foretelling of the dragon and World Eater Alduin's return. He'll teach you a few things.
  • Delphine, voiced by Joan Allen (The Bourne Ultimatum), is one of few members of the ancient Blades society left. She took an oath to protect the Emperor and hopes to discover more about the dragons and their return.
  • Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, voiced by Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) is an ancient Nord who helped defeat the dragons long ago.
  • Imperial General Tullius, voiced by Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), is going up against a Stormcloak rebellion.
  • The leader of the rebellion and Tullius' nemesis is Ulfric Stormcloak, voiced by Vladimir Kulich (Smokin' Aces). Described as charismatic, his goal is to make Skyrim independent of the empire.
  • Legate Rikke, voiced by Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), is General Tullius' top lieutenant and another Nord who prefers to see Skyrim remain a part of the Empire.

Other actors on the list include Diane Louise Salinger (Carnivale), Renee Victor (Weeds), and George Coe (Transformers: Dark of the Moon). Over 70 actors in total contributed to some 60,000 voiced lines of dialogue in Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) releases on November 11th of this year. Like many other major releases, a very pricey collector's edition is also on the way.
