King's Bounty: Warriors Of The North Announced

Today 1C announced that the latest in its King's Bounty series is now in development. Titled King's Bounty: Warriors of the North, new protagonist and son of the Northling King, Olaf sets out to fight off the undead hanging around Endoria's very chilly northern lands. Not only that, but he'll get a little help from Valkyries on the battlefied.

In this newest entry, IC promises a new story, locations, allies, skills and abilities, units, plus achievements and a school of magic (rune magic). The most recent installment in this Katauri Interactive-developed strategy RPG series was last year's King's Bounty: Crossworld, for which you can read Bob's review here. Before that was 2008's King's Bounty: The Legend (review here) and King's Bounty: Armored Princess from 2009.

King's Bounty: Warriors of the North for PC is currently slated for a spring 2012 release.
