We don't know a whole lot about
Harvest Moon: The Land of Origin for the 3DS yet. What we do know can be conveniently found in
this news article, however. In short, some new additions to the series will include the ability to build and design both your own character and house.
The first video for the title has just been released and, graphically, it's quite a different look for the Harvest Moon series. Here's the trailer (if you only came for the panda, you can find it right at the end):
No release date for Harvest Moon: The Land of Origin has been confirmed, but it will be sometime in 2012 in Japan.
