Star Wars: The Old Republic Gets V 1.1 Update Next Week
Introducing the Rise of the Rakghouls.
01.12.12 - 3:31 PM

So you've been playing Star Wars: The Old Republic for the past few weeks, and having a little too much fun with either the Republic or Empire. Your gaming backlog is giving you the evil eye, and just when you thought it might be safe to finally put down SWTOR... well, there's an update coming next week. (Can an evil eye become more evil?)

Version 1.1, or Rise of the Rakghouls, will go live next Tuesday, January 17th. Along with the usual bug fixes, lots of new content is on the way in 1.1. Flashpoint: Kaon Under Siege (see video below) is a group fight in the Tion Hegemony, on a neutral planet (Kaon) where you'll have to attempt to wipe out the Rakghouls and persuade this new world to join your side. This Flashpoint will be on both normal and heroic modes, but only to players level 50 and higher.

Operation: Karagga's Palace continues an operation from game launch where you'll fight Karagga and the Hutt Cartel in teams of 8 or 16. The Hutt, once neutral, have broken agreements with both sides, so you'll have to face off against Karagga and find out exactly what his deal is. The operation will be available on normal, heroic and nightmare modes.

BioWare has other updates in the works; with the next major one planned for sometime in March. Be sure to check back with RPGFan for a staff roundtable and our latest impressions on Star Wars: The Old Republic, coming soon!
