Star Trek Online Goes Free-To-Play Today, Trailer

Cryptic Studio's Star Trek Online officially went free-to-play as of today. While there is no cost to download the game nor is there a monthly subscription, some premium features will, as always, be available for a price via a virtual store. You can take either the Federation's side or align yourself with the Klingons, with the promise of new story-based missions each week.

The celebrate the F2P launch, Cryptic and publisher Perfect World have shared a launch trailer, which shows a new recruit working his way through the ranks.
