Mass Effect 3's Kinect Functions In Action
You may not get to flail around, but you get to boss around your squadmates.
01.19.12 - 12:26 AM

We mentioned earlier today that the demo for BioWare's really highly-anticipated Mass Effect 3 would be made available on Valentine's Day. What's more, the Xbox 360 demo (and full game, of course) will have Kinect support - at least in the form of voice recognition. The Kinect controls were first shown off back at Microsoft's E3 2011 press conference, but last week CES attendees got a chance to try it out for themselves.

For those of us who weren't there, BioWare put together a video to show how the voice recognition works in battle and in exploration.

As we mentioned, voice recognition can also be used to choose Shepard's dialogue. It will be interesting to see if you can use it for interrupts or for anything else, for that matter.

Mass Effect 3 hits stores in early March; the demo will be available on all platforms on February 14th.
