Mass Effect 3: Of Space Editions And Unboxings
A couple of quick videos and ways to get the game early.
02.23.12 - 3:26 PM

Commander Shepard is getting spaced... again. As mentioned the other day, EA is literally launching a few early copies of Mass Effect 3 into space - starting today in San Francisco as we speak. You can track the GPS-attached packages and see the 'launch' schedule and locations here. Afterwards, the equipment will be used by students from Texas A&M University to study the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) in Alaska. Astronomy-related causes? I can fully support that.

Really, I'd be fine with just getting one of those little Normandys.

The unboxing video below from David Silverman is for the standard edition, but fans of female Shepard might want to watch this.

Mass Effect 3 is due out on March 6th in North America, March 8th in Australia, March 9th in Europe... and March 15th in Japan. Pre-ordering a digital version over PSN will net players the M55 Argus rifle and an ME3 PlayStation 3 theme - this theme can only be obtained through this pre-order.
