The Witcher Recap Animation
For those of us who won't get to play the first game before The Witcher 2.

CD Projekt RED, as well as many fans of the series that I've talked to, all insist that you absolutely don't need to have played The Witcher before playing The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. This is a good thing, because some Xbox 360 players don't have a way of playing the first game, which is currently PC-only. No doubt that some of us want to at least know what happened in Geralt of Rivia's first story, so CD project put together a nice, five-minute animated clip that sums the first game up neatly.

Of course, if you still plan on playing the first Witcher one day, you might not want to watch due to the obvious major story spoilers.

As for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the Enhanced Edition will go on sale for PC and Xbox 360 on April 17th, in exactly two weeks. There's a bit of bad news though - CD Projekt announced this morning that the 360-only Dark Edition is unfortunately sold out in North America. Stay tuned on Thursday for CDPR's scheduled conference and any announcements!
