Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Gets Free DLC Next Week
New maps, characters, items and weapons are coming.

BioWare has kept things interesting with Mass Effect 3's multiplayer component, offering up new challenge every weekend for the last few weeks. This weekend, players can earn an extra 25% experience from now until Tuesday morning on all platforms.

Today, a new Resurgence Pack DLC pack was announced for the multiplayer, which will be free of charge. The pack includes:

  • Two new maps: Firebase Condor, based on Menae (Palaven's moon); and Firebase Hydra, based on a former quarian colony-turned power facility on Ontarom.
  • New weapons: Striker assault rifle, Geth plasma SMG, and a Kishock harpoon gun.
  • New items (single-mission bonuses): Strength enhancer (melee boost); Targeting VI (headshot bonus); weapon stabilization module; shield power cells (reduces shield recharge time).
  • New characters:
    -Batarian soldier
    -Batarian sentinel
    -Geth infiltrator
    -Geth engineer
    -Asari justicar adept
    -Krogan vanguard
