Runic Games and Perfect World today released the opening cinematic for Torchlight II, called New Heroes Will Arise. The short animated prelude, embedded below, tells a bit of story that takes place between Torchlight and Torchlight II. On the game's website, art director Jason Beck talks a little bit about the clip.

Torchlight II for PC wil be out sometime this year.
