Phantasy Star Online 2 Screens Added
The open beta is coming up soon.
05.07.12 - 11:31 PM

Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2, which is due out this summer in Japan, is getting ready to go into open beta, although the dates have yet to be finalized. Producer Satoshi Sakai did talk about the open beta in some detail though. Those who participate will be able to level characters up to 30, with a 'hard mode' available for level 20+ characters. Players can also access some story content, like quests. The full version will start out with 8 types of weapons, with more to be added post-launch.

You'll also get a glimpse of the sandy planet Liliipa (and some new foes) in the newest screens in our gallery below. This area will be available to explore in the open beta. Dates for the beta, as well as the full version of PSO2, have yet to be announced.
