Etrian Odyssey IV Video, Demo Available
Close-up with casual mode.
06.23.12 - 10:46 PM

Atlus' Etrian Odyssey IV was another 3DS title to get a demo on the eShop.... in Japan, of course. Play through the dungeon crawler's demo, and you can carry your data over into the full game.

The most recent in its series of gameplay video clips takes a look at casual mode. In this mode you won't die - or at least, you won't get a game over screen. You'll be transported back to town where you and your party will eventually regain consciousness. Of course, to avoid 'dying' in the first place, you can also use Ariadne's Thread, which you get right away. It's a non-consumable item that you can use as many times as you want to transport your party out of a dungeon and back into town.

Etrian Odyssey IV hits Japanese shelves on July 5th.
