Unchained Blades EXXIV Trailer, Artwork
Illustrator Yoshitaka Amano and others join the game's talented staff.
07.13.12 - 10:27 PM

UnchainBlades Exxiv's staff was already filled with well-known names of Japanese game developers, and the most recent additions to the credits list for the sequel to UnchainBlades ReXX (called Unchained Blades here) have been character designers. Recently revealed were Yoshitaka Amano, who designed the game's Dark Knight, and Kia Asamiya, who designed Zodias.

In fact, the game's latest teaser trailer focuses mostly on guest character designers. Nobuo Uematsu and the Earthbound Papas provide the music here.

FuRyu also talked about the combat system, or rather, the 'unchain' system. When an enemy is marked as 'unchained,' you can execute a move, and if it's successful, the enemy will have become one of your followers.

UnchainBlades Exxiv for PSP and Nintendo 3DS goes on sale in Japan on October 18th.
