RPGFan Soundtracks: Etrian Odyssey IV OST
Or, Sekaiju no MeiQ 4 if we're being literal.
09.11.12 - 3:52 PM

DS dungeon crawling fanatics will likely be quite familiar with the series from which today's album reviews are culled. Sekaiju no MeiQ 4, or Etrian Odyssey IV for those of us on western shores, recently saw release in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS. Much like previous entries in the series, the game also brought with it a fresh soundtrack from the venerable Yuzo Koshiro.

While the soundtrack is certainly rooted in the traditions of the series, there some very noticeable differences in this latest iteration that definitely beg your attention. Patrick Gann is here with his thoughts on not only the OST, but also the limited edition preorder bonus album, Rough Sketch ver. + Outtake. Make sure to check out Pat's thoughts on both of these albums, and definitely listen to some samples! Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for Pat's review of the recently released Super Arrange album, as well!
