Dragon Quest X Paladin and Ranger Job Update
Two new classes approach...
09.28.12 - 1:03 AM

In October, the first big update for Dragon Quest X Online is taking place in the form of two new classes: the Ranger and the Paladin.

Like you might expect, Rangers survive off the land and use the natural world to their advantage. They can wield bows or boomerangs at a distance and pack some survival skills to restore health, cure afflictions and can even trick monsters into attacking each other.

Paladins can swing hammers, lances or staves around and are capable of protecting the party and healing them too. Paladins can specialize in either melee or magic and learn corresponding skills such as damage reflection, taking damage on behalf of other party members, and healing magic.

Players will need to complete a few quests to gain access to these classes, and these will also go live with the October update. Along with the classes, the update brings the housing system too! From its release, players will be able to build their own in-game home and store items there.
