Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn alpha footage finally shows off something other than simply running around Gridania: questing and fighting. Square says that you no longer need to check a journal in order to complete a quest, and that the combat is 'improved' with better weapon skills, plus spells that can be used at a further distance.
