Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Tester Recruitment Now Open
Plus, take a look at the game's stunning CG intro movie.
01.07.13 - 12:39 PM

If you're like me, you've been following news of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn like a hawk. Or a hawk-eyed chocobo, maybe. The once-doomed MMORPG is edging ever closer to its glorious rebirth, and as of today, eager adventurers can sign up to be a part of the game's Beta test. Keep in mind that if you played Final Fantasy XIV Version 1.0 and attained Legacy status on your account, you automatically qualify to be a Beta tester beginning from phase 1. Similarly, if you were an early purchaser of Final Fantasy XIII and have a Square Enix Members code, you can enter that for priority access to the Playstation 3 Beta.

For more information and to sign up, head on over to the Beta tester application site.

In addition, Square Enix released the full CG opening for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn today. It includes the previously released CG from the "End of an Era" trailer and a new segment showcasing Eorzea five years after the fall of Dalamud. If you're a Final Fantasy fan, you won't want to miss this.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled to release sometime in the first half of 2013. Check back with us for continued coverage as the release date approaches.
