Compile Heart Reveals Fairy Fencer f
And it's claiming to be particularly niche.
05.16.13 - 12:25 AM

A few days ago, developer Compile Heart announced a new RPG for the PlayStation 3 titled Fairy Fencer f.

The developers are primarily the same team that worked on Hyperdimension Neptunia, along with some big names: concept artist Yoshitaka Amano and composer Nobuo Uematsu. According to the team, this new game is specifically designed to "accommodate customers who like us." In other words, they're looking to create a game targeted at their already existing fanbase.

The story will follow Fang, a young man on a quest to collect mystical god-power-imbibed weapons called Furies. The battle system will be similar to the one used in Hyperdimension Neptunia and will also include aerial combos called "avalanche attacks."

Fairy Fencer f is expected to release sometime this year in Japan. No word on an international release.
