08.08.13 - 10:02 PM

Set for release on October 1st of this year, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl for Nintendo 3DS is a remake and upgrade of the original Etrian Odyssey game on DS.

The newly expanded game lets players experience a new journey to unravel the mystery of the Yggdrasil Tree's origins along with new cut-scenes, varied difficulties, new dungeon layouts, and additional voice acting. It will also include updated 3D graphics and StreetPass abilities; the same as those in Etrian Odyssey IV. This time, there will be a "story mode" that provides players with five pre-made characters in addition to the original gameplay mode, in which players make their own characters.

We also have the opening video for your viewing pleasure! Take a look:

If you pre-order the game in-store, you'll be able to grab the "Untold, Unseen, Unheard" bonus collection which includes a 7-disc soundtrack, a live version of the game's opening, a rough sketch of the same, and a small art book. Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will be released in-store and on the Nintendo eShop simultaneously at $39.99.
