Utada Hikaru Will Be Creating Kingdom Hearts III's Theme
After a long hiatus, Hiki is back! UPDATE: The announcement may have been in error.
10.18.13 - 1:31 PM

Utada Hikaru is known for performing the theme songs for the Kingdom Hearts series: Simple and Clean / Hikari for Kingdom Hearts and Passion for Kingdom Hearts II. It was previously reported that she was quitting the industry, but now it seems like she'll be coming back. This news comes from Teruzane, Utada Hikaru's father, who responded to a fan via Twitter that she'll be performing Kingdom Hearts III's theme.

Kingdom Hearts III does not have a release date, but Square Enix released new footage of the game a few days ago.

UPDATE: Utada Hikaru's father has made a new tweet, asserting that her role is not yet confirmed:

We will update again when more information is available.
