01.08.14 - 12:29 PM

Fantasy Flight Games and CD Projekt RED today announced a collaboration on a brand new board game, The Witcher Adventure Game. Designed by Ignacy Trzewiczek (Robinson Crusoe: Adventure on the Cursed Island), The Witcher Adventure Game has players journeying throughout the world of The Witcher as either Geralt, the bard Dandelion, sorceress Triss Merigold, or the dwarf Yarpen Zigrin. With myriad quests, monsters, and missions, the board game should keep fans of the video game quite happy.

"Fantasy Flight Games has an outstanding connection with board game fans worldwide and is well known for the highest quality of their titles. We're really excited that we can join the party and expand The Witcher universe in such great company," said Adam Badowski, Head of Studio, CD Projekt RED.

"We are very pleased to partner with CD Projekt RED on The Witcher Adventure Game. The story and the setting of The Witcher really lends itself to an adventure board game. We’re looking forward to players being able to craft their own narrative during the course of the game," said Steve Horvath, Senior VP of Communication and Digital Business for Fantasy Flight Games.

According to the official website, an iOS and Android version of the title is also slated for the future, in case cardboard isn't your style. Fantasy Flight is well known for their board and card games, so it seems like The Witcher is in good hands here.
