XSEED Games Announces Day One DLC List for Ragnarok Odyssey ACE
A bevy of optional add-ons for the improved title, including some Grandia goodies!
03.16.14 - 6:21 PM

When we hear "Day One DLC," I think many of us cringe a little bit. The thought of buying additional content on release day just seems like a cash grab. Thankfully, when Ragnarok Odyssey ACE releases on April 1st, XSEED is offering several tiers of DLC - but all will be free at launch. Well, if you own the original game that is. Here's how it breaks down:

$0.99, or free to owners of the original Ragnarok Odyssey:

  • Archer’s Apple
  • Bunny Hair Band
  • Floppy Cat
  • Gunslinger
  • Majestic Horns
  • Ninja
  • Taekwon Kid

Free for two months following launch, afterwards $0.99

  • Royal Ball Outfit

Free for two months, then priced at $2.99

  • Gorgeous Headwear

Free

  • Grandia Set: Includes Justin and Feena’s armor and hair pieces (free via patch update), as well as five music tracks from Grandia (via PlayStation Store)
  • Ragnarok Odyssey Collection: Includes 10 armor items and 115 tracks from the original Ragnarok Odyssey
  • Ragnarok Odyssey BGM Arrange Collection: Includes 14 tracks from the original Ragnarok Odyssey)

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who forgot for a moment that Grandia developer GameArts was behind Ragnarok Odyssey, right? Maybe it was just me. But that's still a fun bonus to include.

My bad memory aside, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE releases on April 1st for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. Look for our review shortly after that to see if this "ACE" edition is worth playing again after the original release!

Oh, and here is the most recent trailer for the game, because why not:
