Dreamfall Chapters to Release in Episodic Format
The game will live up to its name. Literally.
06.29.14 - 12:39 PM

Red Thread Games' development team has made the decision to release Dreamfall Chapters in an episodic format as the result of development concerns. The game was first announced in 2007, and in 2012 the entire project was reworked to release as one game.

Red Thread Games has stated on their Kickstarter page that the story the developers have intended to tell has become "bigger and more ambitious than [they] first envisioned." They went on to say in this update that meeting their expected release date is out of the question and, due to budget and schedule considerations, it would be in the best interests of the game to return to the episodic format originally planned.

Those who backed the project on Kickstarter can expect to receive all 5 episodes free of charge starting in the fall. Others can purchase a season pass via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store.
