More Solo-Friendly Content Promised for The Elder Scrolls Online
Among other eventual game changes.

A number of concerns have been raised by players of The Elder Scrolls Online since its release, including its "grindy" nature, change in difficulty balance in the end-game, and rewards not matching effort.

In an attempt to rectify this, the developers have released a blog post that details some of the changes they hope to make in the future.

Among them, they want to make PvE a "a much more compelling" experience. "Our goal is to remove the feeling of 'have just hit a wall of difficulty' that many of you have commented on you'll be able to solo much more easily," the post details. It continues, "One of the guiding principles of our Veteran gameplay was to encourage people (not force them) to group. We wanted people to be able to solo to max level, but still wanted you to participate in group content ... But this hasn't been well-received. Many of you love the game you played from 1-50, and the Veteran-level zones are too much of a departure from that experience."

It will, of course, take time to implement all these changes, but it sounds like they're taking player feedback seriously.

The Elder Scrolls Online is available on PC and Mac now. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are targeted for a late 2014/early 2015 release.
