Heracross and Pinsir to Be Distributed to Pokémon X & Y
Along with Mega Stones if you live in North America.
08.02.14 - 4:48 AM

If you happen to own a copy of Pokémon X & Y (I'm going to take a guess that's most of our readers), then you'll be able to grab bug Pokémon Pinsir (if you have Pokémon X) or Heracross (if you have Y) starting from August 13th via Mystery Gift.

Heracross comes at level 50 with an Adamant nature and know the moves Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Close Combat, and Megahorn. Pinsir shares the same level and nature, but comes with the X-Scissor, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Return moves.

While those two Pokémon are not particularly remarkable, if you happen to drop by a GameStop in North America you'll be able to pick up a flyer that includes a special serial code that grants them their respective Mega Evolution stones (again, only for your respective version of the game).

Keep in mind, both these Pokémon and their Mega Evolution stones can normally be obtained in the opposite games (Pinsir normally appears in X and Heracross in Y).

For full instructions on how to access the creatures, take a look at the official website.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will be available across the globe on November 21st (28th in Europe) on Nintendo 3DS.
