Pokémon Fans in China Petition For Localisation
Good luck, guys!
08.19.14 - 4:43 AM

We're all frustrated when a great JRPG never makes it outside of Japan, especially when it's on a region-locked console. As an Australian, this is often made for difficult for me when a game is released North America, but doesn't make it here. It happens less these days, but it's still pretty frequent.

I can only imagine, then, the frustrations of video game fans in China who are deprived of so many great titles due to a lack of localisation or censorship by their government. In this instance, Pokémon. To this day, no game in the series has been released on Mainland China or in their language. Now, fans are rallying to make this a reality.

In a new online petition, fans of the series lay out why they hope that Nintendo will consider releasing the iconic games in their region. You can head on over to read all about it, and even sign it for yourself if you'd like. If you scroll down on the petition, you can find some touching artwork and photos from Chinese players.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will be available worldwide (though not in China) on November 21st and then on the 28th in Europe on Nintendo 3DS.
