Mega Rayquaza Heading to Pokémon Alpha & Omega
I could pretend to be surprised.
10.02.14 - 6:48 PM

It's unlikely to come as a surprise that Mega Rayquaza has been revealed for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire on Nintendo 3DS. The legendary Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon comes with a brand new ability called Delta Stream that nullifies and prevents all other weather effects and reduces the damage done by moves that are super-effective against Flying-types.

Upon Mega Evolving, Rayquaza gains an increase to all stats, but a much bigger boost to Attack and Special Attack. And, as you might have noticed, it does not Primal Evolve like Groudon and Kyogre. Apparently the reason for this will be explained during the game's story.

You can see it in action in its debut trailer below:

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will be hitting shelves across the globe on November 21st (28th in Europe).
