Soar Above Hoenn in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
Plus, introducing Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie.
10.17.14 - 1:17 AM

A few days ago, CoroCoro magazine revealed Mega Beedrill, Mega Pidgeot, Mega Latias and Mega Latios in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. The Pokémon Company have also released a new trailer where you can see all four in action. Take a look:

Assuming you watched the trailer to the end, you might have noticed the new "Soar" mechanic (about 0:55 in). By riding on Latias/Latios, you will be able to literally fly across Hoenn in world map form to find legendary Pokémon from past games. Aside from the 'Mirage Spots' that contain legendaries, there will be other locations only accessible by soaring. You'll even be able to see weather effects and really fly between towns — a real world map!

Another two Megas have been announced as well: Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie. They can be found in the demo, which is being selectively distributed now. Unfortunately, new Mega Pokémon introduced in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will not be patched and made available in X & Y.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will be released worldwide on November 21st.
