CD Projekt Details The Witcher 3's Second Playable Character
I'm sure fans of the books figured this out a while ago…

Well, that didn't take too long!

Fresh off the announcement that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will feature a second playable character, CD Projekt RED just handed us a press release detailing the mysterious white-haired female in the trailers. Ciri is a woman on the run from the titular Wild Hunt and the Empire of Nilfgaard. Ancient Elven blood flows through her veins, giving her fantastic abilities to heal the world (and possibly destroy it).

Players will only take control of Ciri during key parts of the game's narrative, though she will grow and develop in terms of her skillset. Fans of the books will note that Ciri first appeared in The Sword of Destiny, a collection of Witcher stories first released in Poland in 1993.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out on May 19th for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
