Fresh Details for The Legend of Legacy's Battle System
Yay for party formations!
12.21.14 - 5:16 PM

The Legend of Legacy is looking to be an interesting title coming from some former Square Enix and Level 5 developers, and new gameplay videos show off the battle system and its focus on formations. The first video shows off the three main positions in battle. Guard characters stay up front to soak up damage, while the attacks and support classes stay safe in the back lines. You'll be able to name and register any specific formation for later use, adding some customization to the gameplay.

The second video shows off the "Awakening" system. Though details are currently light, it appears you can level up skills or learn completely new ones using this technique.

The Legend of Legacy is out on January 22nd in Japan for Nintendo 3DS. Stay tuned for more details as we get them!
