Fire Emblem Characters Join the Fight in Codename S.T.E.A.M.
Abraham Lincoln can team up with Marth. Game of the Year?
01.16.15 - 5:21 PM

Those looking to purchase a Fire Emblem Amiibo may have another incentive. In the most recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that Intelligent Systems' upcoming strategy game Codename S.T.E.A.M. will allow for Fire Emblem characters to be used in-game when their respective Amiibo is utilized with the New Nintendo 3DS (this feature is exclusive to the new model). Marth, Ike, Robin, and Lucina will all bring their own unique abilities to the table, with the catch being that they can't be revived at checkpoints should they fall in battle.

Ike's Amiibo will be available in February, with Robin and Lucina coming out later in the spring. In addition, the Marth Amiibo will be restocked later this year. Codename S.T.E.A.M., meanwhile, is due for release on March 13th for the Nintendo 3DS.
