Xenoblade Chronicles X Will Enable Off-TV Play On The Wii U GamePad
Now you can pilot giant mechs in the bathroom.
01.31.15 - 5:21 PM

The makers of Xenoblade Chronicles X have confirmed that the game will support off-tv play with the Wii U GamePad. In normal play the GamePad will serve a support function by logging and displaying data as you explore the world and by facilitating the quick travel function. Off-tv play will let you stream and control the game remotely from say, the bathroom. This way you'll never have to take your eyes off the planet Mira, except maybe when you wash your hands. Although the game is so massive that it barely fits on the game disk, Nintendo has worked some technical wizardry that supposedly makes the process run seamlessly.

Xenoblade Chronicles X comes out April 29th in Japan and later this year in the west on Wii U.
