Final Fantasy XV's Gameplay Will Continue to Evolve in Development
Don't get too attached to Episode Duscae.

Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata again opened up about the game's continuing development at a recent PlayStation event in Hong Kong. He reiterated that Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae is a work in progress and shared some more details on the process. For instance, in Episode Duscae you gain the ability to summon once your HP hits zero, but Tabata said this could change based on feedback from the player survey. The "power of the stars," speculated to mean summons, will be very important in the finished game. The development team is also looking to implement several fun features like photography (Tabata hinted that one of the party members is a shutterbug), and a dog/cat cam view. In addition, although Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, and Final Fantasy XV are not directly related there will be common threads of the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology that tie the games together.

Tabata stressed that the combat from the demo was only 50% complete and noted the difference between the pace in the demo and the E3 trailer. The pace of the E3 trailer is considered faster than normal; in fact only a few battles would be that quick in order to preserve the balance with other party members. The speed will range from slow to fast in different battles, with combat in Episode Duscae being the benchmark for an average pace. Cooperation with your team will also play a larger role in combat, in line with the fraternal theme of the game.

Final Fantasy XV is in development for the PS4 and XB1.
