Square Enix Dazzles Fans With Witch Chapter 0 [Cry] DirectX 12 Demo
So beautiful it might make you cry.
05.03.15 - 12:20 AM

At the Microsoft Build Developer Conference on Thursday, Square Enix wowed audiences with its impressive DirectX 12 tech demo. The demo, code named Witch Chapter 0 [Cry], showcases the young lady who was the star of the Luminous Studio tech demo from way back at E3 2012. The demo is amalgamation of Microsoft's DirectX 12, NVIDIAs top of the line graphics cards, and Square Enix's Luminous Engine, and simply looks stunning for something running in real time. You can check out Witch Chapter 0 [Cry] below.

Although Witch Chapter 0 [Cry] was created to show off the impressive ability of DirectX 12, the research results from the demo will be incorporated into Square Enix's Luminous Engine, which in turn will be used in future game development. This demo could also not be the last time we will see of this mysterious women, another demo will be showcased at Microsoft's de:code technical conference on May 26th and 27th in Tokyo. Will we see possibly a chapter 1, or maybe even another game running on DirectX 12? Whatever it may be, make sure to check back with RPGFan as we bring you more coverage on this project.
