09.15.15 - 3:01 AM

Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Grandmasters, a new, free-to-play, online game for Android and iOS.

Grandmasters sounds a lot like an MMO for smartphones: you chat with other players, battle fearsome foes with a party in real-time and tackle difficult co-op quests. The game features five unique playable classes to choose from: Elvaan, Galka, Hume, Mithra and Tarutaru. You can pre-register for the game on the official website.

If you dig Final Fantasy music then check out this video featuring some of the new tracks in Grandmasters. I'm sure this will sound lovely through your iPhone speaker...

Final Fantasy Grandmasters will release in Japan for Android and iOS sometime in 2015.
